It's early in the Adventurer year, registrations aren't due yet, the first meeting isn't until September 19th, BUT our first fund raising opportunity is here!! The Yankee Candle sale begins today, August 31 and ends September 11th. Orders should be delivered by the beginning of November.

You can view the fund raising catalogs at http://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/fallCatalog.html. A copy of the order form is available for those who haven't received their fund raising packet yet. Order forms and money must be turned in by September 12th. Payment must accompany the order - please make checks payable to "MVSDA Church".
 
For those of you with kids in both Adventurers and Pathfinders, remember that orders on the Pathfinders order form will go to Pathfinders and anything on the Adventurers order form will go to Adventurers. Keep the pink copy of the order form and catalog to help you deliver the orders.
 
As you review the registration forms for Adventurers you will notice that each Adventurer is responsible for at least $20.00 of fund raising each year.  You can meet that goal several ways:

  1. pay $20.00 directly
  2. sell a minimum of $50 in Yankee Candle sales, the profit would equal the $20 required for fund raising
  3. wait for other fund raisers to be offered later in the year

40% of each Yankee Candle sale over $50 will go towards the Adventurers $40 Spring Escape Registration fee. Sell $150 or more in Yankee Candle sales, and the Adventurer's Spring Escape Registration will be paid in full.
