Communicating For Changed Lives: Is your preaching and teaching changing the hearts and lives of your people? Do you desire to become a better communicator to reach the lost in your community? Each weekend, 55 million people listen to 1 billion words in sermons given across America. Yet research shows that the #1 complaint people have is that sermons are boring and don't relate to their lives. The simple fact is that preaching and teaching makes or breaks a church. The Merrimack Valley Church is pleased to present a two part seminar for speakers, teachers, and communicators that will enable you to better connect your message with your audience. Dates: April 13 after BYO Dinner and May 11 after the Fellowship Dinner. For more information contact the Pastor.

A Heart To Give: Someone has said that there are three kinds of givers--the flint, the sponge, and the honeycomb. To get anything out of the flint you have to hammer it; and then you can get only chips and sparks. To get water out of a sponge you must squeeze it, and the more you squeeze the more you get. But the honeycomb just overflows with its own sweetness. Some people are stingy and hard. The give nothing away if they can help it. Others are goo-natured; they yield to pressure, and the more they are pressed the more they will give. A few delight in giving without being asked at all; and of these the Bible says, "The Lord loveth a cheerful giver."
